Spanish Universities will showcast their most international books at Líber 2011

The majority of the Spanish University Presses and Research Centers will attend this year at Feria Internacional del Libro, Líber 2011, that will take place in Madrid from 5 to 7 October. 56 from 63 members of UNE (Spanish University Presses Association) will be present at UNE’s booth (6H02).
UNE’s publishing firms have selected their 500 most international and far-reaching books among the more than 33,500 titles that make up their wide backlist. This selection will be on display in Líber 2011, so all the distributors, librarians and booksellers attending will have the oportunity to check them at UNE’s booth.
The books on display are collected in a new on-line catalog and are a short sample of the work developed by these publishing firms. Nowadays, UNE’s publications are the 7 % of the global Spanish books’ production.
These 500 titles are dedicated to the following subjects: Philosophy, Ethics, Religion; Cultural Studies, Social Science; Fundamental Science, Exact Science, Applied Science And Technology, Medicine; Art, Fine Arts, Sports; Linguistics, Literature, Philology, History and Geography.
